A Look Back at Our 47th Annual Golf Tournament ⛳

47 years is no small milestone. And there was something truly special about this year’s 47th annual golf tournament.

It started with that familiar moment when everyone arrives, early participants reconnect, handshakes are exchanged, and conversations begin before the first tee-off.

Then, little by little, the course comes alive.

Teams make their way onto the course,  and so do the smiles. Some join us for the love of the game, others for a little friendly competition, while many are simply happy to reconnect with familiar faces… or meet new ones.

And that’s when the day really comes to life.

Because beyond the tee shots, the holes and the scorecards, what truly stood out was our business community coming together.

Conversations starting between shots.
Laughter carrying from one group to another.
Unexpected encounters.
Connections forming naturally, without a meeting ever being scheduled.

That’s the WIMCC experience.

A day where you show up for an event… but leave with so much more than memories from the course.

And when the golf came to an end, the day was far from over.

We headed to the cocktail dinner, where conversations continued in an even more relaxed atmosphere. Over a drink, around the dinner table, or simply while catching up with people met throughout the day, everyone had a story to share, a new connection to celebrate, or a new contact to keep in touch with.

Because at the end of the day, the best memories aren’t made only on the course. They’re made in everything that happens around it.

And what if you weren’t there?

You may have missed a few great golf shots.

But more importantly, you missed conversations you might not have had anywhere else, people you may never have crossed paths with, and opportunities to build relationships that extend far beyond a single event.

That’s also why our events exist.

Here in the West Island, one thing continues to bring us together: the feeling that we’re collectively contributing to something bigger than ourselves.

A more connected business community.

Our golf tournament is a perfect example of that.

For 47 years, we’ve been creating opportunities for our community to come together. And year after year, it’s the people, conversations and connections that truly bring these moments to life.
