Do you want to get involved with the CCOIM? Good news, we have a position to fill on the Board of Directors for 2024-2025.
Sitting on the Board of Directors means playing a key role in the progress of common projects and being at the forefront of the latest economic developments in the region. It is also an opportunity to build an influential business network while gaining practical knowledge.
Position to be filled:
Administrator of the Industrial Committee, one-year mandate, eligible for subsequent elections according to governance.
Qualities and skills required — General member of the Board
- Be committed to the mission and role of the organization and be a member in good standing of the CCOIM;
- Possess knowledge and skills in management and/or operations for an industrial or manufacturing company;
- Have a general understanding of Board of Directors management;
- Prepare for and participate in Board deliberations;
- Foster positive working relationships among Board members;
- Act with probity, ethics, and integrity;
- Detect, avoid, or address conflicts of interest or the appearance of such conflicts.
Sought-after skills
- Leadership — collaboration, ability to take a stand and reach consensus, be inspiring;
- Communication skills — excellent written and verbal communication;
- Sphere of influence — role in the industry, employer support, and network;
- Creativity and flexibility — ability to anticipate and proactively respond to changes in the industry considering the organization’s needs.
Time commitment required by the position:
- Attend monthly Board meetings: approximately 2 hours per month.
- Attend CCOIM events and welcome new members as needed: approximately 3 hours per event.
Applications to the Board of Directors will be submitted to the Nomination Selection Committee, allowing for an impartial review of the proposed applications. The nomination process allows CCOIM members to propose their own candidacy only.

Subsequently, those selected in the process will be contacted by a member of the Nomination Solicitation Committee for a meeting. The chosen person will start their mandate this fall.
