Accolades 2025 – Showcasing Excellence in Our Thriving West Island Business Community
On June 6th, the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the 37th edition of the Accolades Gala. A signature event that brings together leaders, innovators, and nonprofit organizations from across our West Island business community.
Held annually, the Gala recognizes excellence and celebrates the achievements of local businesses and organizations by awarding Accolade prizes to those whose work has made a meaningful impact on our region and community.
The primary event sponsor this year was the PME MTL OUEST and we would like to extend our sincere gratitude for their trusted partnership to present this important business event.
This year, we were delighted to welcome more than 300 guests from the West Island’s business community. Business leaders, community organizations and elected officials came together to connect and network in the presence of the finalists across ten award categories of the Accolade competition.
The event took place at the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel and reflected a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and regional economic development. The theme of the evening was “Broadway” and brought a festive and theatrical energy to the gala. The theme is a tribute to the passion and excellence of our region’s business community.
Sophia Lavergne, President & Executive director of the Chamber, expressed that “This evening not only celebrates the excellence and innovation of our local businesses, but also the spirit of collaboration and pride that drives our business community. Every moment of this event has been carefully crafted to showcase the entrepreneurial richness of our region. For me, this evening also holds a special meaning: it marks the end of my very first year with this wonderful organization, a year filled with impactful projects, valuable learning experiences, and above all, inspiring human connections.”
The Accolades Program
The Chamber officially launched the 2025 edition of the Accolades competition in January. This year’s Accolades competition was led by Marco Della Rocca, who served as President of the Nomination Committee. We would like to say a special thank you to the Members of Nominations Committee, the jury committee led by Nishant Sharma, and the many judges that devote much time to evaluate all the entries and the finalists, to ultimately identify the outstanding group of companies and organizations from various business categories, whose work stands out in our region.

The 2025 Business of the Year Award
We are pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2025 Business of the Year award, was awarded to McCann Equipment Ltd, a reputable equipment service provider, who are proudly celebrating the 50th anniversary this year, which is an outstanding achievement in and of itself.
Launch of a New Award “Coup de Coeur”
We are pleased to announce a new category “Coup de coeur”. The winner of this award was chosen by all our jury members and given to the finalist that had most impressed them and that demonstrated a combination of passion, authenticity, human leadership and creativity while having a positive impact on its environment, its employees and society. The jury members chose CO7 Technologies as this year’s winner.

Upcoming Event: Annual Golf Tournament
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the 2025 Accolades Gala with such enthusiasm. We’re already looking ahead to the fall season, when we’ll resume our popular networking luncheons, cocktail events, and speaker series. To kick things off, we are actively preparing for the 46th Annual Golf Tournament, which will take place on September 10, 2025, at The Elmridge Golf Club, an event that promises to be a fantastic start to an exciting new season of Chamber activities.
