Pointe-Claire, March 10, 2023- On March 2nd, 2023, members of the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce (the “WIMCC”) Executive Committee and the West Island of Montreal mayors met at the offices of Aéroport de Montréal (“ADM”) to hold their quarterly forum to discuss the future development of the territory pertaining to the West Island business community, where the broad issues of densification, mobility and affordable housing were discussed.

Tourism Small Business Assistance Project
The Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) and the Réseau des SADC et CAE (Community Futures Development Corporations and Business Development Centres) announced a new partnership in June 2022 to provide services to Quebec businesses and support regional economic development. Among their joint initiatives is a new Government of Canada tourism small business assistance project.

After putting the Accolades competition on hold for the last two years due to the pandemic, The West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce is thrilled that the Accolades competition is back this year which will culminate in the 35th annual Accolades Gala on June 9th, 2022. The Accolades competition recognizes excellence in businesses and organizations that are located on the Chamber’s territory. The Accolades competition has become the symbol of quality and success in the West Island Business Community.
