$7 Million in Funding for Capital Projects – An Opportunity for the West Island Business Community!
The Minister Delegate for Regional Economic Development, Mr. Eric Girard, has announced the launch of a new call for projects aimed at supporting social economy businesses seeking to acquire, renovate, or construct commercial or industrial buildings in order to enhance their service offerings.
A New Boost for Quebec’s Social Economy
The Government of Quebec has allocated a budget of $7 million for this initiative under the Collective Entrepreneurship Capital Investment Program (PIEC), administered by Investissement Québec. Through the PIEC, the government is helping create favourable conditions for the growth of collective enterprises, enabling them to reach their full potential. This initiative also supports the objectives of the 2025–2030 Government Action Plan for the Social Economy (PAGES), which aims to give new momentum to Quebec’s social economy.
Quote:
“Social economy businesses play a vital role in the economic vitality of our regions, the quality of life of Quebecers, and the development of our communities. Through this new call for proposals, we are supporting their capital investment projects so they can grow in a business environment that fosters expansion, productivity, and competitiveness.”
