Rachelle’s Perspective on the 2026 Accolades Gala: Celebrating the Stories That Strengthen Our Business Community

Some events bring people together. Others inspire. And then there are those that remind us why a strong business community makes all the difference.

The Accolades Gala is one of those events.

As a first-time attendee, what I’ll remember most isn’t just a room filled with more than 300 people. It’s the stories behind every business, every finalist, and every award recipient.

Entrepreneurs who continue to innovate despite challenges. Organizations creating meaningful value in their communities. Leaders building resilient businesses while contributing to the economic growth of the West Island.

As the new Social Media and Communications Manager at the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce, this evening reaffirmed one thing: behind every business is a story worth telling.

That is exactly what inspires me.

Over the coming months, I will have the privilege of showcasing our members’ achievements, celebrating their successes, highlighting their initiatives, and recognizing the people whose dedication helps drive our business community forward every day.

Because communications are about more than simply publishing content. They are about building connections, inspiring others, creating business opportunities, and helping the businesses within our network gain greater visibility.

As a West Island resident, I am especially proud to contribute in increasing the visibility of the entrepreneurs, organizations, and partners who play such an important role in the growth and vitality of our region.
