The West island of Montreal Chamber of commerce advances the first steps with its members with the support of Monsef Derraji, MP for Nelligan

Kirkland, June 27th, 2021 – In consultation with the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce and after several discussions regarding an appropriate post-pandemic economic recovery, Mr. Monsef Derraji, MNA for Nelligan is pleased to announce a funding of up to $ 10,000 from the Volunteer Action Support Program for an initiative that unites a clearly identified need on the part of members of the business community in West-island.

The objective of the proposed project will be to identify and address the particular issue related to manpower needs in a post-COVID recovery.

“SMEs will need more than ever to be supported in their efforts to rethink and rebuild their workforce needs and to re-qualify those who already work for them. The CCOIM is an extraordinary breeding ground for the deployment of projects with the business community that I wanted to support and with whom I intend to collaborate throughout its implementation and in a close manner”. -Mr. Monsef Derraji, Member of the National Assembly for Nelligan and official opposition for SMEs-Innovation and Labor-Employment.

“With a unique perspective on business resumption, the Chamber is planning a turnaround plan that could include ideas targeted to the business community. This plan will raise awareness of the importance of supporting local businesses and identifying specific HR needs in a post-pandemic economy. We are grateful and proud to count on the support of Monsef Derraji, Member of Parliament for Nelligan, to launch this necessary project for the business community”. -Mr. Joseph Huza, Director General of the West Island of Montreal Chamber of Commerce
